Aspect Ratio

Aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between width and height of an image or screen. Common ratios: 16:9 (widescreen), 4:3 (standard), 1:1 (square), 21:9 (ultrawide).

Correct aspect ratio prevents image distortion. Using wrong ratios causes stretching or squishing. It is crucial for video editing, photography, and responsive web design.

Divide width by height and simplify. For 1920×1080: 1920÷1080 = 1.78, which equals 16:9. Or find the GCD of both numbers and divide each by it.
